Yemen’s Central Bank Orders Restrictions on Six Digital Payment Services

On 28 October, Yemen’s Central Bank in Aden reportedly instructed banks and exchange companies to freeze accounts and assets linked to six digital payment companies, wallets and services following an Attorney General decision dated 27 October. No financial penalty or monetary value was disclosed.
